Late Sudha Garg was the sixth District Chairman (1994-95) from Ajmer Club. She was the convener of Incoming Chairmen's Institute at Mt. Abu and attended various national and District events. She also attended three Triennial Conferences.  Late Sudha Garg was born in Jaipur and educated at Jaipur and Bombay. She had an M.Sc. degree and was a committed Inner Wheel member. She passed away, after a long illness on 3rd May. 2000.

THE SUDHA GARG MEMORIAL AWARD

The Sudha Garg Memorial Award has been instituted in the memory of PDC Sudha Garg by Inner Wheel Club, Ajmer with the generous support of her husband Shri Satya Narain Garg and her family.

Two cash awards are given for the best projects undertaken by the Clubs of District 305 for creating awareness about Cancer. The projects must be undertaken in the Inner Wheel year, that is, July to June.

The award will be of the value of Rs. 3000/- and Rs. 2000/-, respectively.

The projects will be evaluated by a committee of the Inner Wheel Club, Ajmer on the basis of reports received from the clubs.

The committee will take into consideration the following points :

1. The overall nature of the project and its impact on the region/area it was held in,
2. The awareness it created,
3. If people were persuaded to seek more information,
4. How many wanted/needed more information,
5. How far did it help people shed their fear of the dreaded disease,
6. Any steps, if undertaken to help prevention of Cancer,
7. The number of beneficiaries,
8. The personal involvement of the members of the club, and the number of man hours spent by them,
9. The money spent will be considered, but it will not be the main factor, which will be the commitment of the members.

The Committee will decide its own procedure and meet at any time, at its convenience after the receipt of the reports from the clubs. The decision of the committee will be final. The decision will be conveyed to the District at the Assembly by the Club, when the awards will| be presented.
